Lubrication is vital for the optimal operation of rotating equipment. Any contamination can cause premature, costly failures.
The appropriate lubrication of equipment ensures parts run smoothly and correctly, resulting in consistent reliable running of your process. All rotating equipment requires some kind of lubrication and the type is also very important particularly if the machinery in question is used to process food and if there is a chance of contamination..
AVT Reliability use a number of laboratories to perform the sample analysis, interpret the trends and data and provide recommendations to our clients with regards to necessary repairs. Much like collecting forensic evidence at a crime scene, when collecting an oil sample it is important there is minimal disturbance of the sample during and after the sampling process. Oil samples are typically drawn into a small, clean bottle, which is sealed and sent to a laboratory for analysis.
Our “Lube-Assess” process measures a company’s maintenance lubrication operations with international standards. We have developed objective questions which map over 160 best practices, many of which are standards recommended by ICML (International Council for Machinery Lubrication).
Key deliverables from the audit are a gap analysis between ICML & BINDT accredited standards, evidence and an action plan prioritized by ease of improvement, cost, time and value.
Lube-Assess has been successfully deployed to help manufacturing organisations develop lubrication management programs on over 200 sites in a wide range of industry sectors including Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas (onshore and offshore), Power, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals and general manufacturing.
